Hearts, Hearts, Hearts!

What can I say? I like hearts!  It's true that the "heart" symbol fascinates me.  It's ironic that it looks nothing like the human heart, yet it is the universal symbol for love: our greatest emotion.  My Splatter paintings often have some degree of a heart 'outline' which I use to loosely frame the subject of the paintings.  In the Royale series, I go all out and anchor most of the paintings with a decorative heart.  Of course, you can request that I omit the heart.  You can even request another figurative symbol like a cross, fish or something more personal to you. But when I paint, I usually can't resist placing a heart somewhere in the painting: it's what I do...
