Less Is More - Sometimes...

It has been said that I can go a little overboard sometimes.  When painting, it can be hard to know when to stop; especially since my style is inherently exuberant and dramatic.  After I finish a painting it usually has to rest a couple of days, laying around the studio waiting to be photographed and packaged for shipping.  Those days can be stressful for me because I constantly think of things I would like to add or 'shoulda' done.  I'm probably a more is better kind of person, but sometimes I like simplicity too.  In the case of this painting, the customer wanted 'army colors' which left me a little befuddled, and then inspiration struck.  I think it came out great and the customer loved it so mission accomplished!
